It’s hard to believe that it’s been a whole year since we featured Capetonian filmmaker Rory Allen‘s 2012 time-lapse showreel, titled A Lapse In Time. That said, Rory has been keeping himself busy in the last 12 months, and he’s back with A Lapse In Time: Vol II.
Rory’s 2013 time-lapse showreel is arguably even more epic than his 2012 ‘reel, showcasing some more beautiful visuals around South Africa. It’s hard not to feel lucky to live in such an amazing country when presented with visuals like these – well done, Rory!

“This last year of shooting timelapses has been my best yet and I have had the opportunity to work with some great brands and travel to some amazing places.
My knowledge and understanding of the art of timelapse has grown two fold and I look forward to all the challenges that are still to come. It’s an amazing feeling when you get to sit back and look over all the work you have done, and then realise that it does not actually feel like work at all. I guess I might be one of the lucky few in this world that gets to do what they love for a living.
