We really enjoy this series by American photographer James Friedman, titled Interior Design.
Who would have thought that the insides of golf balls could be this interesting? Sure, most golfers probably know about the various technologies and materials that go into making professional golf balls, but to the rest of us, they are just little white balls – until you cut them in half, that is!
“Curiosity led me to cut my collection of golf balls in half to see what the cores looked like. To my surprise, what I found inside inspired me to consider that I could discover, in the unlikeliest of places, elegant formal qualities and surprising metaphorical possibilities.Β Interior Design has moved me to be enthusiastic about abstraction, an exciting corollary to my work as a documentary photographer.
“Incidentally, I do not play golf.”
