Esteemed South African photographer David Goldblatt will be receiving the ICP’s Lifetime Achievement Award in May.
South African photographer David Goldblatt will be receiving the International Center of Photography’s Cornell Capa Lifetime Achievement Award at a gala event in New York City on the 1st of May.
Here at Orms, we are extremely proud to see Mr. Goldblatt’s achievements honoured with this prestigious award. As one of South Africa’s most prominent documentary photographers, Mr. Goldblatt has dedicated the majority of his life and career to documenting our history, including the struggle against apartheid.
Mr. Goldblatt’s work was included in the ICP’s recent exhibition The Rise and Fall of Apartheid, which is currently on show at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Here’s a few photographs from the exhibition:
