The filmmaking industry has welcomed inexpensive video DSLRs – Here’s five great music videos shot with these new tools.
DSLRs with video capability have opened up an entire world of possibilities for photographers and videographers alike. Potential video directors on a tight budget have a valuable piece of equipment waiting to be used and the only limitations they have is their imagination. With a larger physical size than regular prosumer video cameras, the sensors in video DSLRs offer reduced noise and a shallow depth of field. They also offer all the benefits of an entire range of lenses and accessories, and as such, the DSLR video director has an arsenal of techniques to use that could otherwise be hindered by using a traditional video camera.
