Nikon has revealed five new Coolpix compact cameras, including the updated AW120 waterproof and shockproof camera.

Nikon has revealed five new Coolpix cameras today, including an update in their popular AW line of waterproof and shockproof cameras, the new AW120.

Here’s a rundown of the new cameras. We don’t have South African pricing or availability information yet, but please keep an eye on Orms Direct for updates.

Nikon Coolpix AW120

A successor of the COOLPIX AW110, COOLPIX AW120 has been improved to support shooting in all types of outdoor situations. In addition to the latest camera features, including a 5x optical zoom NIKKOR lens, a backside-illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor with an effective pixel count of 16.0-million pixels, and built-in Wi-Fi® support, this camera is tough enough to use in the most severe outdoor situations with waterproofing to a depth of 18m, shock-proofing that allows the cameras to withstand falls up to approximately 2m, cold-proofing to approximately −10°C, and dust-proofing compliant with JIS/IEC Class 6 (IP6X).
