In this video, we join Chicago-based photographer Manuel Ortiz as he shoots with a full frame camera setup and crop sensor camera setup to compare the final images side-by-side.

Another great video by Chicago-based wedding and lifestyle photographer, Manny Ortiz! This time Manny shot with a full frame camera setup and crop sensor camera setup to compare the final images side-by-side.

About the shoot Manny says; “From the portrait test I did, I was able to get nearly identical results from both camera setups. In the daytime photos in the video, I shot the full frame camera at F2.8 to similarly match the depth of field on the crop sensor camera at F1.8. For the night photos, I did shoot the Full frame camera at F1.8 because my ISO was going to get cranked way high. In the last photo of the video, notice how much bigger the bokeh balls are when both are shot at F1.8.” Let’s take a look…

Camera and lenses used: Sony A9 w/ 85mm 1.4 Gmaster and a Sony A6500 w/ 55mm Zeiss F1.8.
