Photographer Renato D’Agostin discusses his new self-published book “7439”, a chronicle of an intense coast to coast journey that provides a powerful document of America through his lens.

 

In the summer of 2015 New York-based Italian photographer Renato D’Agostin left his Brooklyn studio to embark on the journey of a lifetime. His plan, to travel across America on a “Coast to Coast” trip with his 1983 BMW R100. Armed with his Leica M6, Renato documented the American landscape, culture and processed his film in motel sinks along the way. 

Two months on the road, with a total of 7,439 miles under his belt, Renato presents a new look into the traditional coast to coast trip with the aesthetic that has been distinguishing his photographic work through the past years. Watch as Renato talks about the journey, as well as his new self-published book titled; “7439”. A powerful document of America through his lens.
