It’s time to pick the August Photo of the Month! Choose from these five great finalists and vote for your favourite!

Hi everyone, the year is speeding ahead and it’s time to once again select the community’s favourite Photo of the Month!

We’ve listed our five finalists below, and now it’s up to you to decide which photo is the winner. Let us know which one you like the most by leaving a comment! The winning photo will be announced on Friday 23 August and will be featured in the September newsletter (subscribe here), as well as the cover photos on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Details on how to submit your photos for next month are included at the bottom of this post.

Each photo is followed by the name of the photographer, in alphabetical order. Remember to click on the image to enlarge.

How to enter next month’s competition:

E-mail your photos through to francois@orms.co.za with the subject: Facebook Photo Submissions. Please rename the files to include your own name.

Alternatively, upload your photographs to the official Orms group on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/groups/orms.

The next Photo of the Month draw will take place during the week of 19-23 August 2013.

  43. David van der Want. Clever eye for composition-circles, spirals, squares and plains-with the human figure giving an extra-geometric perspective and the “Square Plein” sign for wit.

  53. #2 Because this is more than a good surf photo. It’s an epic composition with so much movement, scale, colour, drama…
    It also cost much more, in terms of effort, to capture than the other shots here – good as they are.

      1. Hi there, correct – Judging by the email address used, it doesn’t appear to have been Grier that posted the comment, but we suspect the person who posted it may have accidentally typed Grier’s name into the nickname field as well – it’s happened before! Nothing malicious here.
