Kelvin Trautman is a South African photojournalist and filmmaker specialising in adventure sports. In his own words:
“I work as an adventure photojournalist and filmmaker and cover a range of adventure travel, extreme sport and human story assignments for a number of commercial and editorial clients around the world. But at the core of it, I like to think of myself as a story teller. From ad campaigns in controlled environments to editorial projects out in remote locations my job is to convey a message to an audience that is often far removed. And it’s this opportunity that makes the job so personally fulfilling. I relish the chance to use passion and empathy as much as my camera’s to get the audience to feel, relate, and connect to what they seeing. I love being involved, being immersed in the action in front of the lens. I want to run, bike, climb, fly, swim with my subjects. To capture something different, to tell the whole story, to share and to inspire is the goal.”
