Have you ever wanted to learn how to shoot, process and print traditional B&W film? Then this CTSP short course is perfect for you!
TheΒ Cape Town School of Photography is running a practical wet-darkroom course that explores traditional black and white film photography. Students will learn how to process their film, make contact sheets and print their own pictures. Special attention is paid to composition and the development of your creative vision.
To do the course you will need a film SLR camera. The course is suited to students who are familiar with the technical aspects of either film or digital SLR cameras. Second-hand film cameras are readily available at very affordable prices for students who have a digital photography background and wish to experiment with the creative aspects of traditional darkroom processing.
The CTSP is pleased to have Nina Alexia Brazzo facilitate this course. Nina has eight years of teaching and photographic experience, both locally and internationally and she brings a strong creative element to her teaching.
Course starts: Wed 29 Jan and runs for nine 3-hr session weekly from 18h00-21h00
Course cost: R2900. Students are required to pay for their own film and paper.
