Canon and Nikon recently released brand new versions of their free RAW processing software. Read more and download the apps!
Great news for Canon and Nikon DSLR shooters – both companies have recently released new versions of their respective free RAW processing software packages, responding to popular commercial applications like Adobe’s Photoshop Lightroom and Apple’s Aperture.
Canon’s Digital Photo Professional 4.0 and Nikon’s Capture NX-D 1.0 is now available for free download. Nikon’s new software works with .NEF files from any Nikon camera, while Canon’s DPP 4.0 currently only works with their full-frame DSLRs. It’s not clear at this stage wether support will be added for their other cameras. Both applications appear to be available for all recent versions of OS X and Windows.
