Original Post
Hi everyone, it’s time to choose the April 2013 Photo of the Month!
April was our biggest month for photo submissions yet – we uploaded almost 300 photos to the Your Photos album on Facebook!
We’ve listed our five finalists below, and now it’s up to you to decide which photo is the winner. Let us know which one you like the most by leaving a comment! The winning photo will be announced on Friday 26 April and will be featured in the May newsletter (subscribe here), as well as the cover photos on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Details on how to submit your photos for next month are included at the bottom of this post.
Each photo is followed by the name of the photographer, in alphabetical order. Remember to click on the image to enlarge.

How to enter next month’s competition:
The Orms Connect Monthly Photo Competitions use the galleries on Orms Direct’s Facebook page as entries. You can submit your photographs via email or via the Orms group on Flickr. If you decide to mail your images through, please rename the files to “Name Surname 01.jpg”, and please use the subject line: “Facebook Photo Submissions”. Also include the camera and lens combination (make and model) in the message body. Thanks for sending in your photographs, keep them coming!
Note:
Please keep in mind that we do check for duplicate comments. Keep it honest: One person, one vote. If you really like one of the finalist photographs (or you took the photo) and you would like to see it win, please share the post with your friends via the share buttons to the side of the post!
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Our finalist selection process does not involve using Facebook likes or comments as “votes” – we select our finalists from the collection of photos that were submitted to us via email or via the Flickr group.

I have to say I’m a bit confused I always assumed the photo of the month finalists were picked from the photos with the most “likes” but a couple of the above only have a few!?!
Hi there, as mentioned towards the end of the post itself, we don’t (and have never) looked at the amount of likes as an indication for the finalists – this is against Facebook’s competition guidelines and can lead to a page being deleted without notice! The five finalists each month are selected by us based on merit alone.
