The NRK mounted a camera to the front of a train and recorded amazing footage of the Nordlandsbanen through all four seasons.

The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) has released footage of the scenic Nordlandsbanen rail route, filmed over all four seasons. Watch this beautiful one minute teaser:

The video was recorded in summer, fall, winter and spring as the train made the 729 kilometre long journey from Trondheim to BodΓΈ, resulting in a 10 hour long documentary that was broadcast on the NRK. Here’s another short clip from the documentary:

The technically-minded can head over to learn more about the filming on the NRK’s website. The footage was recorded using Sony and Canon cinema cameras, with stabilised Canon lenses, with additional shots taken using a GoPro HD Hero2 and a Sony Handycam. All of the footage has been made available for download in HD quality for those that want to remix it or make their own clips.
