IPA 2012 award winning minimalist long-exposure photographs by Greek physicist Vassilis Tangoulis.

We never grow tired of seeing great minimalist long-exposure square-format landscapes, and Vassilis Tangoulis’ Silent World is no exception.

Having recently been awarded second place in the 2012 International Photography Awards, Silent World was taken around Greece over the last three years. The long-exposure photography techniques came naturally to Vassilis, who is a physicist by trade, and usually spends his time photographing molecules using Atomic Force Microscopy.
