Here’s one for the technically inclined: Sony have released one of their CES videos demonstrating the assembly of two cameras as well as their latest smartphone.
On show in the video is Sony’s new Cyber-shot RX1, a Sony camcorder, and the new Xperia Z Android handset. The RX1 is Sony’s full frame cousin to the advanced Sony Cyber-shot RX100 compact camera.
While the video shows how the cameras are put together, it doesn’t actually show the real assembly lines – as you can imagine, these gadgets are not usually hand-made. Still, it provides a unique insight into the intricate construction of modern digital cameras and devices.
